Slow drain? Got company coming over? Nice.

The liquid stuff didn’t work - even twice. So there’s an obstruction and someone has to clear it. You can do this by following these steps. Try a plunger- but really go for it - at least a dozen or so times.  If that doesn’t work you have to clear the P-trap (see photo above). Take it off and clean it out. If that doesn’t work use a snake (it’s not that hard and they are not expensive -  <$10!) and if that doesn’t do it call the man but you have given it a great shot.  There is a problem farther down the line which needs some real aggressive “grinding.”But first watch “Slow Drain” the movie. it will psyche you up so you can do it!
